Mrs Lois Wilson, SIBRA Kennels, United Kingdom Judging Qualifications: - All Breeds at Championship & FCI Level & Best in Show, plus Junior Showmanship. Contact Details: - 67 Lea Villa Park, Lea, Ross on Wye HR9 7GP UK - Tel: +44 7392798988 - Email: loiswilsonipad@gmail.com I was born into a dog owning family in Zimbabwe (then Rhodesia) and have continued that interest with passion! I grew up with Airedales, Cocker Spaniels, and English Setters. The Dog Show scene in Rhodesia, where I grew up, was small; I helped many owners handle their dogs, so my interest in different breeds of dogs evolved. After moving to Amanzimtoti, on the East Coast of South Africa, I was given a German Shepherd, and helped handle the breeder's dogs. I acquired my first Siberian Husky in 1988. My Kennel Name SIBRA has been registered with the Kennel Union of Southern Africa for over 25 years. My first homebred litter of Siberians produced 4 Champions. I have owned and bred a number of different breeds through the years, German Shepherds, Airedales, Siberian Huskies, Shibas, Border Collies, English Setters, Chinese Crested, I currently live with Shibas and a Powder Puff Chinese Crested. My first judging appointment was in 1976 and after moving to South Africa, I worked my way through the KUSA's Breed Judges Qualifying Scheme. I have also passed the UK Kennel Club's Conformation Exam. I am approved to judge All Breeds and Best in Show at Championship Show& FCI level. I have judged throughout South Africa, Zimbabwe, America, Australia, Brazil, Canada, England, India, Ireland, Lithuania (Best on Show), New Zealand, Philippines and Thailand. I have been invited to judge at the World Dog Show in Russia in 2016. I also have a passion for Junior Handling, both my children took part. I have visited numerous shows (including Crufts) in England, Ireland, USA and World Dog Shows in Europe, extending my knowledge of the different breeds, enjoying every minute, marveling as so many do, at the quantities and quality of dogs, I have made many friends on these trips. I have been Chairman of the Exco of KUSA and a Federal Councilor for over 7 years, I am also Chairman of Northern Natal Kennel Club; My 2 children Tyrone and Kerrie are both University Graduates. I am a qualified Bookkeeper. |
